WooCommerce
The CookieBoss WordPress plugin detects WooCommerce automatically. When WooCommerce is active, CookieBoss classifies WooCommerce cookies and scripts for you — so your store stays GDPR-compliant without breaking cart, checkout, or payments. There is nothing to configure.
Where to see it
With WooCommerce active, open Settings → CookieBoss in WordPress. A WooCommerce Integration card shows exactly which cookies and scripts CookieBoss treats as necessary versus consent-gated.
Cart & checkout cookies are never blocked
WooCommerce sets a few cookies that are strictly necessary to keep a cart and complete a purchase. CookieBoss classifies these as necessary — they load before consent and are never blocked, so shopping never breaks:
woocommerce_cart_hash— tracks whether the cart has changedwoocommerce_items_in_cart— how many items are in the cartwp_woocommerce_session_*— the customer’s session (cart contents, checkout state)
Under GDPR/ePrivacy these are exempt from consent because they’re required to deliver a service the user explicitly requested (their shopping cart).
Payment gateways always run
Payment gateway scripts (Stripe, WooCommerce Payments, PayPal, and others) are always allowed, so checkout works regardless of consent state. Blocking them would break the ability to pay — which is never the goal of a consent banner.
Marketing & analytics scripts wait for consent
WooCommerce marketing and analytics extensions are consent-gated. CookieBoss holds them back until the visitor consents to the matching category:

This is what keeps a WooCommerce store compliant: the store works for everyone, but tracking pixels only fire once the shopper has agreed.
Google Consent Mode v2
CookieBoss also injects Google Consent Mode v2 defaults (all denied until consent), so Google Analytics for WooCommerce and Google Ads respect the shopper’s choice from the first page load. See the Google Consent Mode guide.
Nothing to set up
There’s no WooCommerce-specific configuration. Install the CookieBoss plugin, connect your site, and the WooCommerce handling above is applied automatically whenever WooCommerce is active. If you add a new marketing extension later, CookieBoss recognizes the common ones out of the box; anything it doesn’t recognize can be added to script blocking in Settings → CookieBoss → Script Blocking.
